<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
  <span id="countdown">Download Button Available in 15 seconds.</span></center>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Click to Download Button</b><br />
<a href="Your Download Link" id="download_link" style="display: none;"><img src="" height="50px" width="160px"/></a>
<noscript>JavaScript needs to be enabled in order to be able to download.</noscript>
<script type="application/javascript">
   var message = "%d seconds before download link appears";
   // seconds before download link becomes visible
   var count = 15;
   var countdown_element = document.getElementById("countdown");
   var download_link = document.getElementById("download_link");
   var timer = setInterval(function(){
      // if countdown equals 0, the next condition will evaluate to false and the else-construct will be executed
      if (count) {
          // display text
          countdown_element.innerHTML = "Download Button Available in %d seconds.".replace("%d", count);
          // decrease counter
      } else {
          // stop timer
          // hide countdown
 = "none";
          // show download link
 = "";
   }, 1000);

2nd Advanced Download Timer

When you use this second Download Timer in any post/page, then as soon as you open that post/page, the Download Timer starts automatically, and after 15 seconds because it already has a timer of 15 seconds. That is, an automatic redirect is sent to your download link, that is, the file given by you is downloaded.

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
   var count = 15; // Number of remaining seconds.
   var counter; // Handle for the countdown event.
   function start() {
    counter = setInterval(timer, 1000);

   function timer() {
    // Show the number of remaining seconds on the web page.
    var output = document.getElementById("displaySeconds");
    output.innerHTML = count;
    // Decrease the remaining number of seconds by one.
    // Check if the counter has reached zero.
    if (count < 0) { // If the counter has reached zero...
     // Stop the counter.
     // Start the download.
     window.location.href = "Your Download Link";
   // Start the countdown timer when the page loads.
   window.addEventListener("load", start, false);

<br /><b>
<div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b><center>Your download will Start in <span id="displaySeconds">15</span> seconds.</center></b></span></div>
<center><b><img src="" height="50px" width="160px"/></a></b><br /></center>

First of all, let’s know how to edit 1st Download Timer Script, then we will know how to edit 2nd Download Timer Script.

You will get 15 written in two places in 1st Download Timer Script , that is your timer i.e. as much as you feel that if we stop our user for 20 second, 30 second etc., then you have to write that in place of 15 in both the places.

Now you find Your Download Link and put the download link of your file in its place, that is, by deleting Your Download Link, put the download link of whatever you want to give to the user in its place.
